Выбрал Хэйли, потому что она знает русский язык. Английский я раньше не учил, поэтому было страшно начинать с носителем, который ни бельмеса по-русски. Ну, ничего. С Хэйли быстро нашли общий язык. Здорово объясняет – если надо, нарисует, спляшет, споет. Так и надо с новичками. Планирую взять у нее групповой курс для своих сотрудников.
Сам курс английского мне в Лексиконе нравится. Все сделано на высоком уровне, начиная с обстановки в классе и заканчивая методикой обучения. Здесь просто приятно заниматься, особенно один на один с учителем, когда никто не мешает и не подгоняет. По окончании первого курса А1 уже вижу сдвиги – что-то могу сказать, прочитать, написать. Процесс идет.

HaileyWe offer a variety of both tiered and exclusively designed General English Courses. The A1 Breakthrough or Beginner General English Course is Lexicon’s most fundamental General English courses and is a private, one-on-one course that is designed for non-native English speakers. The instructors are bilingual (Russian-English) fluent native English-speaking educated professionals.
The duration of this course is 6-9 months, depending on the frequency of arranged lessons.
This course provides the opportunity for the student to be challenged and develop their basic English skills by utilizing a standard balance of reading, writing, speaking and listening. However, this balance can be adjusted to supplement each student’s deficiencies.
The course syllabus includes the following main topics:
Nice to Meet you – Greetings, Names, Alphabet, Numbers, etc.
All about me – Personal Items, Colors, Clothes, etc.
Everyday Life – Telling Time, Days of the week, Daily routine, Household Chores, etc.
Places – Rooms of the House, Furniture, Appliances, Buildings, Directions, etc.
Food – Containers, Prices, Money, etc.
Get Busy – Jobs, Skills, Environment, etc.
Looking Back – Parts of the Body, Years, Life Events, etc.
On Vacation – Seasons, Dates, Geography, Sightseeing, etc.
Homework is an integral part of this course unless declined by the student.
Exams are executed to monitor the student’s progress.
Placement is determined during the initial introduction / consultation, the student’s needs and is based on the current fluency level of each student.
